Diagnosis & Testing: Horn

  1. Disconnect wire connector at each horn. Using a voltmeter, connect one lead to ground and other lead to positive wire terminal, See Fig 1 . Depress horn switch, battery voltage should be present.
  2. If voltage is okay, disconnect one horn wiring connector. Sound horn. If remaining horn sounds replace disconnected horn. If no sound, repeat test for other horn. If fuse blows or no sound with either test, replace both horns.
