Combination Valve: Removal
- Using a brake pedal depressor, move and lock brake pedal to a position past its first 1 inch of travel. This will prevent brake fluid from draining out of master cylinder when brake tubes are removed from combination valve. Raise vehicle on jackstands or centered on a hoist.CAUTION: Before removing brake tubes from combination valve, combination valve and brake tubes must be thoroughly cleaned. This is required to prevent contamination from entering brake hydraulic system.
- Remove wiring harness connector from brake warning lamp switch located on combination valve. See Fig 1 . Remove 5 chassis brake tubes from combination valve. Remove bolt attaching combination valve mounting bracket to frame rail.
