Removing Caliper Guide Pin Bushings

  1. Remove caliper from brake rotor. Hang caliper assembly on a wire hook away from brake rotor. Push out and then pull steel sleeve from inside of bushing using your fingers as shown in illustration. See Figure .
  2. Using your fingers, collapse one side of bushing. Then pull on opposite side to remove bushing from brake caliper housing. See Figure .
