Parking Brake
All vehicles are equipped with a center console mounted hand operated park brake lever, see Fig 1 . This lever is an auto-adjust type which continuously applies minimal tension to parking brake cables to keep them in adjustment at all times. Due to this feature, park brake cable system does not require manual adjustment. Proper parking brake system adjustment is obtained by proper drum-in-hat brake shoe adjustment.
There is an individual park brake cable for each rear wheel, which are joined using a park brake cable equalizer, before terminating at floor mounted, hand operated park brake lever. See Fig 1 . The parking brake located at each rear wheel consists of a small duo-servo brake assembly mounted to disc brake caliper adapter. See Fig 2 . The hat (center) section of rear rotor serves as braking surface (drum) for parking brakes. See Figure .
