Refacing Brake Rotor

Refacing of front rotor is not required each time brake pads are replaced. When refacing a front rotor required .08 mm (.003") TIR (Total Indicator Reading) and .013 mm (.0005") thickness variation limits MUST be maintained. Extreme care in operation of rotor turning equipment is required. The use of a double straddle cutter that machines both sides of rotor at same time is highly recommended. See Figure .
