Front Caliper Adapter: Installation

  1. Install 4 mounting bolts for hub/bearing into bolt holes in steering knuckle. Install caliper adapter on 4 mounting bolts installed in steering knuckle.
  2. Install hub/bearing. Tighten 4 bolts mounting caliper adapter and hub/bearing to steering knuckle to 61 N.m (45 ft. lbs.). See Figure . Install brake rotor on hub/bearing. Install disc brake caliper on caliper adapter, reversing removal procedure. See Figure .
  3. Install brake caliper attaching bolts and tighten to 27 N.m (40 ft. lbs.). See Figure . Install wheel and tire. Tighten wheel mounting stud nuts in proper sequence until all nuts are torqued to half specification. Then repeat tightening sequence to full specified torque of 122 N.m (20 ft. lbs.). Install center cap on wheel. Lower vehicle.
