Master Cylinder Fluid Check

Check brake fluid level in master cylinder reservoir a minimum of twice a year. The brake fluid reservoir is marked on both sides with a MAX fill line for brake fluid level. Proper fill level of fluid reservoir is to center of MAX fill line on reservoir. See Fig 1 .

If necessary, add brake hydraulic fluid so level is at center of Max fluid level mark on side of master cylinder fluid reservoir. Use only Mopar brake fluid or an equivalent from a sealed container. Brake fluid must conform to DOT 3, specifications. DO NOT use brake fluid with a lower boiling point, as brake failure could result during prolonged hard braking. Use only brake fluid that was stored in a tightly sealed container. DO NOT use petroleum-based fluid because seal damage in brake system will result.
