Wipers Do Not Park When Wiper Switch Is Turned Off

  1. Disconnect wiper motor wire harness connector. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage between terminals No. 1 and 4 of wire harness connector. See Figure . If voltage is okay, go to Step  3 . If not okay, go to next step.
  2. Check for battery voltage between terminal No. 1 and battery negative post. If okay, repair ground circuit. If not okay, repair feed circuit.
  3. Using a ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals No. 2 and 5. If okay, replace wiper motor. If not okay, remove intermittent relay from PDC. Check terminal No. 2 of motor wire harness to terminal No. 14 of PDC for continuity. See Figure . If not okay, repair circuit. If okay, check terminal No. 5 of wiper motor wire harness to terminal No. 37 of PDC for continuity. If not okay, replace intermittent relay. If okay, go to next step.
  4. Perform Multi-Function Switch Test. If okay, repair V3/V4 circuit. If not okay, replace Multi-Function switch.
