Chime With Belt Buckled Or No Chime With Belt Unbuckled When Ignition Is Turned ON

  1. Check left seat belt buckle switch for closed circuit when seat belt buckle is buckled. Test seat belt buckle connector, with connector disconnected. Use a Ohmmeter, connect a lead to each terminal. No continuity when seat belt buckle not buckled. Continuity when seat belt buckle is buckled. If OK, go to next step. If not OK, replace seat belt buckle switch.
  2. Test Pin 78 of BCM connector for continuity to ground when seat belt buckle is connected. If OK, replace BCM for tone fault. If not OK, repair circuit to seat belt buckle switch.
