Remote Radio Switches: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate battery negative cable. Wait two minutes for airbag system capacitor to discharge before further service. From underside of steering wheel, remove (3) bolts that secure driver side airbag module to steering wheel.
- Pull airbag module away from steering wheel far enough to access wire harness connectors on back of airbag module. Unplug airbag module and horn switch wire harness connectors from back of airbag module.
- Remove driver side airbag module from vehicle. Remove steering wheel from steering column. Unplug wire harness connector from remote radio switch (s). Remove three screws securing steering wheel rear cover. Remove remote radio switch from steering wheel by depressing tabs on each side of switch.
NOTE:
The right remote radio switch back is white in color. The left switch back is black in color. The right/Left remote radio switch orientation is with steering wheel installed, and driver in drivers seat.
