Remote Radio Switches

Remote radio control switches are available on Prowler. Two rocker-type switches are mounted on back (instrument panel side) of steering wheel spokes. The switch on left spoke is seek switch and has seek up, seek down, and preset station advance functions. The switch on right spoke is volume control switch and has volume up, and volume down functions. See Fig 1 .

These switches are resistor multiplexed units that are hard wired to Body Control Module (BCM) through clockspring. The BCM sends proper messages on Chrysler Collision Detection (CCD) data bus network to radio receiver. For diagnosis of BCM or CCD data bus, use of a DRB scan tool and proper Body Diagnostic Procedures Manual are recommended. For more information on operation of remote radio switch controls, see vehicle Owner's Manual.
