Horn System

CAUTION: Continuous sounding of horn may cause horn relay and horn to fail.

  1. If horn does not sound, check horn fuse located in Power Distribution Center. If fuse is blown, replace with correct fuse.
  2. If horn fails to sound and new fuse blows when depressing horn switch, a short circuit in horn or horn wiring between fuse terminal and horn is responsible, or a defective horn switch which allowed horn to burn out is responsible.
  3. If fuse is OK, test horn relay, See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
  4. If relay is OK, test horn. See HORN  test. Should horn sound continuously, unplug horn relay from Power Distribution Center.
