Rear Brake Caliper & Pads: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Release parking brake and cycle brake pedal. Manually pull caliper assembly toward outside of vehicle so piston is retracted.
  2. Drive out disc pad retainer pin and remove 2 caliper mounting bolts. See Fig 1 . Lift caliper up, away from disc. Suspend caliper on wire hook to prevent damage to brake hose. Remove disc pads.
