Removal (Kelsey-Hayes Double-Pin Family Caliper)

  1. Raise vehicle on jackstands, or center on hoist. Remove front wheel and tire assemblies. Remove caliper guide pin bolts. After removing caliper guide pin bolts, wedge caliper away from brake disc with screwdriver to break gasket adhesive seals.
  2. Slowly slide caliper out and away from disc to remove caliper. Remove outboard shoe assembly from adapter, disc and shoe assembly. Remove disc and inboard shoe assembly.
