Bleeding Brake System: Notes

ABS must be bled anytime air enters system while lines, hoses, calipers or hydraulic assembly are disconnected for service. It is important to note that air in the brake system may set a primary pressure/delta "P" fault in the Anti-Lock Brake Controller (CAB). Refer to DIAGNOSIS & TESTING in this article.

NOTE: During bleeding operations, ensure fluid level remains close to full. Check fluid level periodically while bleeding and add DOT 3 brake fluid as required.
