AG & AJ Bodies
- Remove turn signal switch from under headlight switch, in instrument panel switch pod. See TURN SIGNAL SWITCH R & I under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. The White 7-pin connector next to turn signal switch 14-pin connector must remain connected when checking switch continuity. See Figure .
- Using ohmmeter, check continuity between 14-pin connector terminals. See TURN SIGNAL SWITCH CONTINUITY table. See Figure . Replace turn signal switch if continuity is not as specified.
- If switch continuity is good, check for faulty flasher unit, related relays and/or wiring. Both hazard flasher and turn signal flasher are combined into one combo-flasher unit that is Yellow in color. This combo-flasher unit is located under instrument panel to right of steering column, mounted on A/C duct.
- Turn signal circuit uses 4 relays. The 4 relays are identical and can be interchanged for circuit testing purposes. Relays are located in relay module, under left side of instrument panel. For wiring circuit testing, see WIRING DIAGRAMS in this article.
