Removal (AV & AY Bodies)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove cluster bezels. See CLUSTER BEZEL R & I  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove lower steering column cover.
  2. Disconnect PRNDL actuation cable from lower steering column by releasing lock bar on plastic insert. See Figure . Squeeze legs together and remove plastic insert from column. Move cable out from behind fuse box.
  3. Remove rear defogger and radio bezels. Remove upper steering column cover. Remove 4 instrument cluster retaining screws. Pull instrument cluster outward and disconnect rear wiring connectors. Remove instrument cluster.
