Removal (AA Body)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove cluster bezel. See CLUSTER BEZEL R & I  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. On column-shift models, remove lower steering column cover. Disconnect PRNDL actuation cable from lower steering column by releasing lock bar on plastic insert. See Figure . Squeeze plastic insert legs together and remove from column. Move cable out from behind fuse box.
  3. On all models, remove rear defogger and radio bezels. Remove upper steering column cover. Remove 4 instrument cluster retaining screws. Pull instrument cluster outward and disconnect rear wiring connectors. Remove instrument cluster.
