Strut & Coil Spring Assembly: Removal

  1. Place jack under axle assembly near trailing arm. Insert a wooden block between jack receptacle and axle crossmember to prevent damage to axle. Ensure jack DOES NOT contact lateral rod. Raise axle assembly slightly.
  2. Remove cover from strut top in interior hatchback compartment. Remove 2 upper mounting nuts from strut top. DO NOT remove piston rod nut from top of strut. Remove lower mounting bolt from bottom of strut and remove strut assembly.
