Wheel Bearings R & I: Installation

  1. Seat new inner and outer bearing races against shoulder in hub. Pack wheel bearings with grease. Install new inner seal. Position seal lip inward. Install seal flush with end of hub.
  2. Install drum on spindle and install outer bearing, washer and adjusting nut. Adjust wheel bearings. See ADJUSTMENTS . Install lock nut and new cotter pin. Install wheel and tire assembly and lower vehicle.
