Intermediate Shaft: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate distributor drive gear before installing. Apply a 1/16" bead of Loctite anaerobic gasket sealer on intermediate shaft front retainer prior to installation.
  2. Install retainer and tighten bolts to specification. Using Intermediate Shaft & Camshaft Seal Installer (C-4680), install seal until even with surface. See Figure.
