Removal (Non-Turbo)

  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE. Disconnect battery. Drain cooling system. Disconnect air cleaner hoses and remove air cleaner.
  2. Disconnect control cables, vacuum hoses, fuel hoses and electrical connections at throttle body. Remove power steering belt. Disconnect brake booster vacuum hose at intake manifold.
  3. Disconnect coolant hose at crossover pipe. Disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold. Remove intake and exhaust manifold bolts. Remove manifolds.
