Cylinder Block

  1. Using a feeler gauge and straightedge, check cylinder block head surface for warpage. Check cylinder bore and taper. Measurements should be taken at .375" (9.52 mm) below top surface of cylinder bore, middle of bore and .375" (9.52 mm) from bottom of cylinder bore.
  2. Repair or replace cylinder block if not within specification. See ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS .
