Engine Identification

Engine may be identified using Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) stamped on metal tab, located near lower left corner of windshield. The eighth character identifies the engine model.
Engine identification number may be required when ordering replacement components. On 2.2L engines, identification number is stamped on rear of cylinder block, directly below cylinder head. On 2.5L engines, identification number is located on left side of engine block between core plug and rear face of cylinder block.
