Temperature Gauge Circuit Test
- Remove combination temperature/oil pressure gauge (A body), temperature/voltmeter/fuel gauge (L body), fuel/temperature gauge (C and Y bodies), or temperature gauge (all others) assembly from instrument cluster.
- Check for continuity in wire between temperature sender and temperature sender input pin. See Figure through Figure . Repair wiring if continuity does not exist.
- With ignition on, check for battery voltage at temperature gauge (B+) pin and temperature gauge ground pin. See Figure through Figure . If no voltage exists, check wiring for damage and power supply for temperature gauge (B+) pin.
