Shock Absorbers (Colt, Colt 200 & Summit): Removal
- Remove trunk side trim. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel assembly. Support lower arm assembly with jack stands. On models with air shocks, remove air tubes, "O" rings, dust cover, actuator and adapter (if equipped). Cover open lines and fittings with vinyl tape. DO NOT bend air tubes.
- On models with air shocks, remove snap ring, joint assembly and "O" ring. Remove actuator bracket from piston rod. On models with standard shocks, remove dust cover from top of shock assembly. On all models, raise lower arm assembly with a jack. Remove nuts and disconnect upper shock mount from body. Disconnect shock from lower arm assembly. Lower jack and remove shock assembly from vehicle.
