Engine Identification

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is stamped on a metal plate located at upper left corner of instrument panel, near windshield. The eighth character of VIN identifies engine, and tenth character (L) identifies model year (1990). Engine model code and serial number are stamped on right side of cylinder block, near front. For specific location, refer to the ENGINE/VIN ID article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
