Removal (Colt Wagon 1.8L)

  1. Remove distributor cap, leaving spark plug wires attached. Remove distributor. Remove breather hose and air cleaner. Remove rocker arm cover. Remove upper timing belt cover. Move timing belt tensioner toward water pump and secure. Secure timing belt to camshaft sprocket with wire. Remove camshaft sprocket.
  2. Loosen rocker shaft mounting bolts uniformly and lift off rocker shaft, rocker arms and springs as an assembly. Remove bolts from shafts and slide off springs and rocker arms. Remove camshaft.
