Rocker Arm Assembly & Camshaft: Inspection

Inspect camshaft journal diameter and lobe lift for signs of wear. Replace camshaft if not within specification. See ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS tables.

1. Check cam lobes for wear or damage. If any cam lobe height measures less than 1.6496" (41.9 mm), replace camshaft.
2. Check camshaft bearing journals for damage, wear or seizure. Replace camshaft if necessary. Check camshaft bearing surface for damage, wear or seizure. Replace cylinder head if bearings are worn excessively.
