Fuel Gauge Does Not Read Empty

  1. Make sure fuel tank is empty and not deformed. Check mounting flange of fuel tank sending unit. Check tank for sending unit interference. Check for faulty wiring or components. Use tester or known good fuel gauge sending unit.
  2. Check all wiring including ground clip. If wiring is okay, check for faulty fuel gauge sending unit, faulty voltage limiter (if used), faulty fuel gauge or faulty printed circuit board.
