All Models (Except Aries, Charger, Horizon, Omni,Reliant & Turismo)

An 11 function voice alert system works in conjunction with warning lamps and tones. Eleven different audible warnings/messages are used.

All messages are preceded by a group of beeps, and followed by a tone. Warning messages are repeated each time key is turned on until condition is corrected.

Some messages are used only if vehicle is moving forward. A distance sensor and backup light switch control activation of these messages. The distance sensor delays certain messages until vehicle is in motion.

The electronic voice alert is located just above glove box (behind instrument panel). Voice alert message volume can be changed by turning control knob on underside of module.

An on/off switch is located on module and is accessible through a hole in upper R.H. corner of glove box. All warning lamps and tones will continue to function normally even if voice alert switch is off.

On Daytona and Laser models, electronic voice alert is combined with electronic monitor system.
