Removal (Conquest)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable and remove hood. Remove air cleaner and disconnect accelerator cable. Disconnect heater, fuel, boost sensor and brake booster hoses. Drain radiator, transmission and engine oil. Disconnect oil cooler lines.
  2. Disconnect starter, alternator, fuel injection, ignition and gauge wiring. Remove power steering pump and radiator assembly. Disconnect transmission oil cooler lines, if equipped. Remove rear catalytic converter. Disconnect speedometer cable and back-up light switch wiring.
  3. Remove drive shaft, clutch release cylinder, engine mount bolts and gearshift lever assembly. Support transmission, remove insulator bolts and crossmember. Attach lifting cables and remove engine/transmission assembly.
