Temperature Gauge
NOTE:
When performing this test, DO NOT
connect sender wire directly to ground.
- Unplug temperature sender wire at sending unit. Connect a 104 ohm resistor between wire and ground. Gauge should indicate about 158°F (70°C).
- If gauge tests okay, remove sending unit and place in water 158°F (70°C). Sender should be placed so that the sensing area is .12" (3 mm) from surface of water. See Fig 1 . Resistance should register 104 ohms.
