Fuel Gauge
Disconnect fuel gauge sender wire in luggage compartment or cargo space. On Colt and Colt Vista models, connect a 3 ohm resistor between connector terminal and ground. On Ram-50 models, separate front wire harness. Connect 7 ohm resistor in series with Yellow wire terminal on the harness side. See Fig 1 . Fuel gauge should read full.
NOTE:
Keeping wire grounded too long can damage coils in gauge. Perform test as quickly as possible.
