Temperature Gauge

  1. Disconnect wiring connector from water temperature gauge from inside engine compartment. Install a test light between the terminal from connector and ground. Turn ignition on. Ensure that test light illuminates and gauge illuminates on the "H" (Hot) of LCD gauge.
  2. If results are correct, remove thermosensor (sending unit) from engine block and place sending unit in hot 158°F (70°C) water. Resistance readings should be 90-117.5 ohms at 158°F (70°C) on all models.
