Fuel Gauge Test 1

Disconnect fuel gauge connector. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Check that approximately 5 volts is present at terminal No. 2 (center). With gauge unit removed from tank, connect fuel gauge unit with harness. Move fuel gauge float up and down to verify that voltage is changing smoothly between terminal No. 2 and No. 3. Output voltage for "FULL" position should be between 4.35-4.70 volts. Voltage output for "EMPTY" position should be 0.3-0.5 volts.
