Timing Chain: Installation

  1. To install, rotate crankshaft until No. 1 piston is at TDC on compression stroke. Align mating marks on sprockets and chain.
  2. Install chain on camshaft and crankshaft with keys and keyways aligned. Inspect chain tensioner, and complete installation in reverse order of removal.
