Removal (Conquest)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable and remove hood. Remove air cleaner and detach accelerator cable. Disconnect heater, fuel, boost sensor and brake booster hoses.
  2. Disconnect starter, alternator, ECI, ignition and gauge wiring. Remove power steering pump and radiator assembly. Remove rear catalytic converter. Disconnect speedometer cable and back-up light switch wiring.
  3. Remove drive shaft, clutch release cylinder, engine mount bolts and gearshift lever assembly. Support transmission, remove insulator bolts and crossmember. Attach lifting cables and remove engine-transmission assembly.
