Instrument Panel - Standard: Testing: Tachometer

NOTE: DO NOT  reverse polarity when installing tachometer. Damage to diode and transistor may result.

Connect calibrated tachometer and start engine. Compare readings with vehicle tachometer. If readings differ more than 100 RPM at 1000 RPM, 200 RPM at 4000 RPM or 300 RPM at 6000 RPM, replace tachometer.
