Fuel Gauge

Disconnect fuel gauge sender wire. On Colt and Colt Vista models, connect a 17 ohm resistor between wire and ground. On Pickup models, ground sender wire. Fuel gauge should read full.
NOTE: Keeping wire grounded too long can damage coils in gauge. Perform test as quickly as possible.
On Colt models, connect 120 ohm resistor between sender wire and ground. On Colt Vista models, connect 110 ohm resistor between sender wire and ground. On Pickup models, connect 95 ohm resistor between sender wire and ground. Gauge should read empty.
