Fuel Gauge
- Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit wire at fuel tank. Connect 95 ohm resistor between wire and ground. Gauge should indicate empty. Connect 7 ohm resistor between wire and ground. Gauge should indicate full.
- Check fuel gauge continuity with ohmmeter. Fuel gauge resistance should be approximately 55 ohms.
NOTE:
Keeping the wire grounded too long can damage coils in gauge. Perform test as quickly as possible.
