Piston Pin

Check pin fit in piston bore without rod. At room temperature, pin should press in smoothly by hand. When assembling, apply engine oil to outside of pin and to piston pin bore. Position rod and piston marks (indicating front) upward. Align pin with pressing tool, and press pin into piston and rod.

NOTE: Compression rings differ in scraping edge design. From a cross sectional view, ring No. 1 has a barrel shaped scraping edge and ring No. 2 has a tapered edge.
