4WD Diesel Pickups

All diesel-powered 4WD Pickups use a Load Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV), located near the rear wheels. See Figure and Figure .

The LSPV provides 3 functions. It responds to vehicle load condition by preventing early lock-up of the front wheels, provides stability during braking, and adds extra fluid pressure control to the rear wheels should the front brake system fail.
