Description & Operation

Sunroofs are operated by a switch on the headliner. The motor is located near the switch and actuates the sunroof panels by means of drive cables. Imperial models are available with a moonroof. A clear glass panel and a sunscreen slide in Tracks in the roof. The glass panel is driven by a motor located behind the rear package shelf. The control switch is located on the instrument panel. Both sun and moon roofs are protected by 15 amp. circuit breakers.

Both systems can be manually operated. The sunroof is moved by removing the plug in the headliner, then removing the screw and washers. Turning the gear above will close the sunroof. To close the moonroof, remove the plug on the rear parcel shelf and turn the drive nut with the tire lug wrench.
