Description & Operation

All models are equipped with an instrument cluster that contains a speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge and tachometer (or clock). Some models are also equipped with a voltmeter. Steering column switches control the lights, wipers, turn signals and cruise control.

The gauges use variable-resistance sending units. When resistance is high, the gauge reads low. When resistance is near zero, the gauge reads high (or full).
