Installation Procedure

  1. Install the instrument panel knee bolster bracket to the instrument panel.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the bolts to the instrument panel knee bolster bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the instrument panel knee bolster bracket bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  3. Install SIR connector clip.
  4. Install bolts to the data link connector.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the data link connector bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the hood release lever. Refer to HOOD LATCH RELEASE HANDLE REPLACEMENT .
  6. Install the instrument panel steering column opening filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement .
