Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - WINDSHIELD PILLAR .
    IMPORTANT: Remove the instrument panel (IP) upper trim panel slowly, the retainer clips could fall into the IP.

  2. Lift the IP upper trim panel up approximately 51 mm (2 in) and pull backwards to release IP upper trim panel retainers.
  3. Rotate the daytimerunning lamp (DRL) ambient light sensor (1) counterclockwise. Remove the DRL ambient light sensor from the IP upper trim panel.
  4. Rotate the sunload sensor (2) counterclockwise. Remove the sunload sensor from the IP upper trim panel.
  5. Remove the IP upper trim panel.
