Test T: Low TRAC Indicator Always On
- If Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If ABS diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform ABS diagnostic system check. See ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below left side of instrument panel, to right of steering column. See Figure . Using scan tool in SPECIAL FUNCTIONS, attempt to turn off LOW TRAC indicator. If LOW TRAC indicator turns off, go to next step. If LOW TRAC indicator does not turn off, go to step 4 .
- Replace Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). See ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair, perform ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair, perform ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
