Circuit Description

Body Control Module (BCM) uses a key-in-ignition input in order to control audible warnings. BCM detects a key in ignition switch when key-in-ignition signal circuit is low. DTC B2961 will set if BCM detects Ignition 0 (IGN 0) circuit voltage input is active (high signal) and key-in-ignition input is inactive (high signal) for more than 3 seconds.

A current DTC B2961 becomes a history DTC if condition for setting DTC is no longer present. A history DTC B2961 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if condition for setting DTC is no longer present. DTC will also clear when scan tool is used to clear DTCs.
