DTC B0608: Power MODING Error: Description
Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) monitors Ignition 0 voltage (IGN 0) circuit, Ignition 1 (IGN 1) voltage circuit, and Crank (CRANK) voltage circuit. IGN 0 voltage circuit is active (circuit is high) when ignition switch is in ACC, RUN, or START position. IGN 1 circuit is active (circuit is high) when ignition switch is in RUN or START position. CRANK voltage circuit is active (circuit is high) when ignition switch is in START position.
DTC B0608 will set and SERVICE VEHICLE SOON indicator will illuminate when IPC detects one of the following conditions for more than 3 seconds:
- IGN 1 is active and IGN 0 is inactive.
- CRANK is active and IGN 0 is inactive.
- CRANK is active and IGN 1 is inactive.
A current DTC B0608 becomes a history DTC if condition for setting DTC is no longer present. A history DTC B0608 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if condition for setting DTC is no longer present. DTC will also clear when scan tool is used to clear DTCs.
